Mohali, India – Beloved Pollywood icon Jaswinder Bhalla breathed his last on Friday, August 22, 2025, at a private hospital in Mohali after suffering a brief illness. Reports indicate the cause of death was a brain stroke, bringing an end to his life at the age of 65.

Bhalla’s passing marks a profound loss for the Punjabi entertainment world—he was a revered figure known for his signature comic timing, memorable performances, and genuine warmth.


Legacy: From Agriculture Professor to Comedy Star

Before he became a household name, Jaswinder Bhalla was a respected professor and agricultural scientist. He held a PhD in Agricultural Science from Punjab University and served on the faculty at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana. His dual career highlighted a remarkable blend of academic rigor and artistic brilliance.
