Selected students will receive an annual scholarship of Rs 30,000, official website claims. The award is for girls who have passed both Class 10 and Class 12 from government schools and have secured admission in a recognised undergraduate degree or diploma programme. Eligible institutions include government colleges and universities, as well as select private institutions. The scholarship will continue throughout the duration of the programme, provided the student continues her studies without interruption.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Azim Premji Scholarship 2025, candidates must:
— Have completed Class 10 and Class 12 from a government school.
— Have studied in one of the following states: Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Telangana, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, or Uttarakhand.
— Be enrolled as a first-year student for the 2025–26 academic session in a recognised undergraduate degree or diploma programme (2–5 years) at a government or select private institution.
Applications are submitted online through the official portal and then the team will check the applications. After verification against eligibility criteria, the scholarship will be disbursed in two instalments of Rs 15,000 each. To continue receiving the scholarship in subsequent years, students must apply for renewal annually.
Scholarship Timeline 2025
Round 1: Applications open in September 2025; review from October 2025 to March 2026; first disbursement from December 2025; renewal in August 2026.
Round 2: Applications open in January 2026; review from February to July 2026; first disbursement from April 2026; renewal in December 2026.
