I am Not Afraid, Will Continue Speaking the Truth: Tejashwi Yadav on FIR in Maharashtra

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav on Friday reacted strongly after an FIR was lodged against him in Maharashtra, saying that he is “not afraid of such actions” and will continue to speak the truth fearlessly.
Addressing reporters, Tejashwi Yadav said that attempts to silence opposition voices through police cases and intimidation will not succeed. “I have always raised my voice for the people, for justice and for the Constitution. If speaking the truth is a crime, then I am ready to face any consequence,” he remarked.
The FIR, registered in Maharashtra, is reportedly linked to Yadav’s recent statements against the state government. However, the RJD leader maintained that he has only highlighted the failures of those in power and will not be cowed down by pressure tactics.
“Those in power should answer questions on unemployment, inflation, and farmers’ problems instead of targeting opposition leaders. People are watching everything,” Yadav added.
Political observers note that the development has once again placed Yadav at the center of a larger debate over the use of legal action against opposition leaders across India.
